Both were among the guitars Eddie used for drop-D tuning during the Fair Warning era, when "Unchained" became a concert highlight. Decades later, Eddie brought his original Shapes guitar back onstage during Van Halen's final tour in 2015, giving this unusual instrument a special place in his remarkable career.
